I left Shimadzu and became a full time tutor.
Signed up for NIE in August and isstill praying very hard that i can get in!

I set a few goals for myself this year and i am proud to say that i have been making progress in most areas.

1) Bike License
I actually went for my Riding Theory Test and i finished 50 questions and got full marks in ten mins. Thank God for that! Going for my bike test on 13th April. I still remembered the last lesson(8.01), i was not prepared and while the others have finished their warm up, i just got started. But God is good to me. Out of the 5, only three passed. one lady pass only after her fifth attempt, the other guy took 2 attempts. Thank God i took only one attempt!

2) Keyboard Lessons
Recently, Daryl Saw whom i had lost touch with contacted me and ever since than, he has became my music teacher.

3) 2 Souls a month
In Feb, i bought Jun Hong and Xing Ying(Aunty Stella’s children) to church. I still remember we were fretting if the BUS IC would be able to handle Junhong and it turned out that the Bus IC was his form teacher in school!

On the last few days of March, Jason Lim contacted me. He needed advice and directions in his company. I met up with him at starbucks ION and got to know Banjie!

4) SOT
School of theology is fun. Gave my first offering message in Cell group on 1st April 2011, talking about Cain and Abel and how God respected Abel’s offering. Than i gave my first debrief on 2nd April when pastor kong had our church first family weekend service at suntec. Than i had my First Bible Study(Christian Lifestyle) on 3rd April. I was indeed blessed when both Jason and Banjie said that the bible study has impacted them both. Jason is know contemplating if he should return to City Harvest.

The ICA staff insisted on seeing the original certificate and while fuming, i left for home to get necessary proof as required.

Back at ICA, they briefly look at the original certificate and went to duplicate one. *roll eyes*

On my way back, I called auntie guna(children pastor) and told her that i am not going for the children mission trip in early december.

This is the first time the church is going into Batam to do mission works and i dont feel compiled to go at all. I did, hoever told God that if He wants me to go, He will provide for me. (After making my ic and passport, i am broke!)

In the end; by faith, I told auntie Guna i will be going for the trip and that i will paid her the money in two installments.

That night i went for a Post ROM buffet celebration at Dage/Dajie house. I was in charge of the decorations and the budget given to me for the entire event was $100. Raymond DaGe and Serene DaJie paid me $100 even though i didnt exceed the budget.

In the end, the amount they blessed me was exactly the amount i need to pay my first installment for my mission trip. Thank God for that! =D

On the day of the interview, a bus caught fire at the Tampinese interchange and the buses were delayed; the bus I took also seem to stop at every single traffic junction. At the interview, The CEO (Mark) who interviewed me was very reluctant to employ me and said he will think about it. At that moment, I was very angry with God and questioned him, asking Him why is He forcing me to stay in Shimadzu and what has happen to my free will. The next day, Mark called and asked if I was still keen in the job. I took on the job readily.

The new workplace was not as terrific as Shimadzu. Pantry was just a small corner with a water heater. Toilet is situated in the same office and the canteen has less than 4 stalls to choose from. The working hours are long and i wont be able to go for bible study/CGM/Tuition coz of work.

I persisted and in less than a week, work begins to take a toll on my health. I start to have pimple outbreak and I look tired. I know it was not God’s Will for me to be at the place. Travelling to work will take me close to two hours!

Miraculously, during the one week stay, I was neither asked to sign any employment contract nor my security pass was not processed. My desktop computer and email account that was supposed to come did not arrive as well.

Also, I tried calling the HR at Shimazu on Friday to resign. However, the HR lady was busy. I tried calling again the week after and she was away on a one week course. It was as if God prevented me from making contact with the HR lady and thus preventing me from resigning.

During the week, Adeline Ng from church called. She was telling me she felt tempted to call me to share with me how she draw a $200 per month internship pay. Another time I was in the train listening to John Bevere ‘Drawing Near’ sermon and it just so happen to be talking about suffering injustice and about preserving.

My six tuition kids also got back their results and all of them did great! All of them improved tremendously. Right than, i felt a sense of fulfilment and joy that i can never get from doing anything or by going anywhere else. Thank God for answering my prayers.

On Friday, I asked for more signs from God even after it became clear to me. The night before, Ken sat me down and discuss about my future with me. After the talk, I realized my current take home pay was actually more than what I am getting at the Logistic Company.

Friday morning, I waited close to 30mins at the Pass office! The longest I ever waited for the entire week. The IT guy that was supposed to come fixed up my stuff didn’t arrived.

At night, I met Auntie Shereen and Grace for dinner. OTW there, I told God my hands hasn’t turned blood red for a few weeks already. If He really want me to leave, He will turned my palms blood red.Sure enough, my hands became blood red in front of Grace and Auntie Shereen. Sunday service was simply terrific. Pastor Phil Pringle laid hands on everybody in church. I have waited for this moment for a few years!

Monday came and on the bus to work, I happened to read the chapter in Matthew that talk about God’s provision for the lillies and birds. It was very comforting. Later on at work, I told Mark about my resignation. Thankfully, he was kind enough to pay me the amount for stay there. Though I felt guilty, I felt light hearted. It seems as if I was doing the right thing. =)

this is so true. for years, i have always been praying for my eyesight to get better. somehow, some way, i was healed from my Astigmatism and i only found out on wednesday when i went to the optician to have my eyes checked! The optician said i have no signs of Astigmatism! Thank God for healing my eyes! =p

Two of my students, Douscar and Tommy both top their class recently for their english n maths test respectively. There was no clever strategy or tuition programme involved. All i did was prayed before each lesson, that God will help me and guide me as i coach the kids and He came true for me.

Its amazing, the things prayer can do for you.
i am currently churning out many designs of artwork, something which i can never do on my own…its only by God’s grace and creativity! I cant draw/design since young! hahaha.

anyway, i know this is a very short post….
I will blog again next time~

Some Major Milestones in my life includes:

1) Completed NS
NS is really very fun for me right from the start. i had the coolest bunch of BMT buddies whom i still keep in touch with! We had a little misfortune at the start and we lost Andrew. Raymond hyperventilated during the 18km route march too. I lost a total of 20KG during my stint in NS!! =)

Unit Life allows me to have a lot of freedom. being a supply assistant means i report directly to my cqms/csm. it wasnt very regimental and nobody really controls my movements. I was thankful i learnt so many things in my unit, through the politics, backstabbing and friends.

2) Passed my driving license
Driving license didnt come easy for me. I failed my first attempt with a total score of 38, no immediate failure…..i was very sadden and retook it. Second attempt was much worst, i got 48 points and no immediate failure. After the 2nd attempt, i was ready to give up. However, i was reminded on the importance/need of having a driving license and i perserved. On the 3rd occassion, i finally passed with 14 points. Thank God for that! =D

3) Celebrated my 21st
My 21st was held at Costa Sands PAsir Ris. Nothing interesting, was thrown into the pool and i dragged kum hong down with me. His hp and wallet was soaking wet coz of that. I got to drive a Hyundai Getz for 2 days….it was an awesome feeling! i would love to own a car in the future! =p

4) First Ever Dance Performance
I did my first dance in my whole life! the Chairman and MD of Shimadzu company was so pleased! Thank God for the favour of men.

For the past two years, i have always wanted to go for SOT. Now my CGL told me i am ready and if i would to sign up, he would recommend me for it. Being equipped and be trained in God’s word is one of my desire.

However, i am living independently now. paying my own expenses.
For me to go SOT, God will have to provide.

Also, what would be my plans/future be like?
IS NIE going to accept me next year?

I have lots of burning questions, and i am taking one step at a time now.
All i can do is just pray and place my trust in God. =)

On tuesday, while having lunch in the pantry,
i reminded auntie faye that we are going for a full fast tml.
I also encouraged her colleague, auntie shereen to join us.
It was auntie shereen’s 1st time fasting.
Anyway, once we made the decision to fast, temptation started to come!

The cleaning lady, ah hiang walked into the pantry,
and out of the blue, suggested that she cook lunch for me tml.
Now, I been in the office for more than 2 mths.
Sadly, she has never cook anything for me before!

After lunch, auntie faye got an email from one of the hotel staff;
and the staff was trying to schedule a meeting with her tml(wed)
and was bringing along a cake!

Wednesday came, and by God’s grace, none of us felt very hungry.
Instead, we felt energetic and refreshed.
I bought along my guitar and was anxiously counting down to lunchtime.
Not because i could take a break, but because i know,
we are all going to have a divine encounter with God…

I went into the small meeting room and started playing.
This is also the 1st time im leading worship.
Everything was abit jerky, not very well coordinated.
The two ladies joined me shortly and we started to worship,
many a times, the songs were out of tune, but we nvr stop worshipping.
God’s presence came, and we started to pray in understanding.

Everything ended on a happy note.
Than, God started to bless us.

The lawyer that was testifying falsely againt auntie faye, has lost her voice and was so sick she could not attend a court hearing and didnt notify the rest.

Auntie shereen’s son(darren) who usually spent his off day at other people house suddenly came back for dinner and stayed in the house the entire night!

THAN, a very interesting thing happened!
Auntie faye’s boss, who happens to be the Deputy GM of the company told her to lock up the meeting room we were using, as all the stocks/inventory are stored inside.
(turning the room into a inventory/store room)

Before i continue, let me describe the room in detail.
Its a very small room, about 6M by 5M.
It is always been use by many people, for small meeting.
The door of the room is always open and people have full access to it.

Now, back to the Deputy GM.

He asked auntie faye to lock up the room;
that means that it is now inaccessible to all!
People are not allowed to come in, as and when they liked!

It has literally been transformed to a prayer room, for the three of us. The past two weeks, when we are in the room, we prayed fervently and welcomed the Holy Spirit to dwell with us. I guess God is faithful, all the time. He never fail to provide for us, giving us a room so that we can pray.

Bible study was great, talked about divine healing.
Laying the foundation on the need for Healing, in Jesus’s Earthly Ministry.

I really like what andy said, when we were in the class; while waiting for the teacher. He has just finished reading up the introduction of the new testament, when he blabbered out..
The bible is so nice to read!

My younger brother started school (NP) a few days ago. On his first day in school, he won a Samsung SGH-F250; that was a few weeks after he won, in a lucky draw the most expensive labtop accessory set at the IT fair(in sch).

Shaun, my close brother in Christ celebrated his 22tj bdae on April 13th. His malaysian cell group actually got him a billabong bag that he wanted to buy, when he was window shopping in Singapore.

His mum, auntie faye too experience God, in a tangible way. She was sound asleep one night when she was awaken by the ringing of bell. She said the sound of the bells were ones that sounded joyful and happy. She came to a conclusion after asking several people that it is a sign from God, that He is please with her(faye).

I too was blessed in my coming and and going out.
For the last one month plus or so, dad would be ‘working’ in my room as it is nearer to the wireless network/router. i would always be sleeping in the bright(dad need the lights) lights and its so uncomfortable. It severely disrupt my sleep patterns. To solve this, i search high and low for a eyemask but to no avail.

Yesterday as i was clearing up the inventory room, while going through a stack of paper, i found a eye mask, nicely wrap in a plastic casing in between several reports. cant believe that God would bless me in such a way! I was tasked to clean up the room, and part of it would mean throwing away these unwated paper. Looking out for small details sure is important! your detail determines your destiny. Its interesting how God use the eye mask, to remind me of this important fact.

After im done at work, i went for my driving lesson.
On the way, i was talking to God.
I ask Him, wont He be with me….

Yesterday i had my 2nd circuit lesson.
Many a times, my instructor told me i would mount/hit the kerb.
BUT, the car sail through, by the teeth of the skin!!
I know, its God’s grace that this happened.

I had a personal breakthrough in my spiritual life.
I am now more sensitive to the Holy Spirit prompting.
My quiet time are also getting longer. =p

i guess, its times like this where i feel im are at the top of the world that God has to remind me to fixed my eyes on the blesser and not the blessings.

Yesterday i had bible study at riverwalk. the message was about prayer and fasting. When u fast, u are actually humbling urself before God. I thank God for reminding me to be thankful even when im blessed. =)

I like what shaun say, its wonderful how to Lord works. He knows what i need and He never fails to bless me.

I just had a conversation with my friend who is getting married at the end of this year.apparantly, her fiancée is a non-christian and that got the church pretty upset. Nonetheless, her parents love that guy very much; coz he love my fren whole-heartedly.

My primary concern about her marriage was not if the guy is a christian or not.
Rather, my question to her was; if this marriage is going to affect her relationship with God? she gave me an outright yes; (Honesty doesnt mean aprroval)

Not full credited to her marriage, but partially because of her work commitments. You see, she is going to get promoted at her work place.

Now, take sometime off your work and start to think.
How does the devil go against God?

Answer is this; The devil will try to make this world a very attractive place, making all the christians become very materialistic and world-minded. eventually, the devil will try, by all means, to distant our relationship with God.

When that day come, it doesnt matter how much you know about God!
You have already lost that relationship with Him! I did a bit of research and found out that, 7 times, in the four gospels, we can see that even the evil spirits knows who God is!!

So, What does this tells us?

It’s not just about knowing, its about doing.
Its not just leading by explanation, but leading by example.
Jesus didnt explain to His Disciples how to wash feet, He showed them.

Our walk with God shouldnt be just knowing who God is, theologically.
You can have all the knowledge in the whole world, and not know how to love.

Having a relationship with God, is to have a personal encounter with Him!
Dwelling in His presence, Spending time in His word, in prayer.
To sum it up, i quote what auntie faye always say:

Take me for example.
I’m going to have my driving test in one mth time.
All along, im very confident that i will pass on the first attempt,
never give it much thought.

However, recently i realized that if i bump into a pole during parking, it would be a immediate failure. I further realize that my test time is 4 plus. It could very easily be a bus lane hour. Now, all that means is that i cant keep left, coz its bus lane. and as a L plate driver, u are trained to keep left!

All of a sudden, there is this big mountain standing right in front of me.
Its called fear.
Now its very discouraging and i kinda start to have ‘wild thinking’
Thinking that maybe i lack practice, bad judgement, etc.

I took quite a while to realize that its the Devil’s at work.
Satan is trying to steal the confidence i had, to destroy my dream.

I really worry unduly. either that or im putting too much stress on myself. i ought to be thankful that many people are keeping me in prayer, especially on 29 April(actual day of test).

ps: This week, Ken gave us a tour on SMU. I had my bible study in one of the lecture hall. total coolness. =p

God, remove the fear that has crept in my heart.
Place in me faith, Faith in You and in your Son and in the Spirit.
Guard my heart, send ur angels to protect me.

But, i guess things aint that simple after all.
I was surfing the web furiously, just to verify the stuffs mentioned in the mail.

The mailing address was weird and it end with ‘@cooltoad’.
There were many loopholes, and eventually i resigned to the fact that it was a scam email trying to lure me to submit my personal info for some unknown reason.

Seriously, where is the conscience of people now a days.
Their hearts have turned cold, numb to their own conscience.
They will do whatever they can, just so that they will stand to gain.

We indeed live in a broken down world,
where people are only concern about their own wellfare.
Now, It’s not so common to find people who genuinely care for others.
Im so thankful im surronded by them. =)

Every morning, on my way to work, i will look up the sky.
I think its a privilege to see the bright morning sun on the left,
and the ‘soft glowing’ moon on the right, without having to turn my head.
Also, the path i take every morning is like going for a stroll in the park.
With trees and birds for companion.

Dear God, teach me to be grateful for what i have.
Good times and bad times, teach me Lord to not forget you.
To bless your name, for you are worthy of all praise.
